Quick Description

Pupils analyse sets of statements for logical consistency, and then convict one of George, Ada and Möbius of a crime!

Prior Knowledge

No prior knowledge required, but as tasks involve higher-level thinking it is recommended for older pupils.

Instructions

  1. The task jumps straight into two-person scenarios so I recommend introduces the class to a simple one-person example. This can be found on the introductory video, but note this video was made for the Paradox and Impossibility activity and you only need to play the first example involving knights and knaves.

  2. Give a copy of the pupil sheets to each pupil, or pairs if you prefer, and they can work through the tasks at their own pace.

*Make sure you have a colour copy of the teacher sheets with you for reference as pupils work through the various tasks.
